Behind the flowers

"I've been building things my whole life."

Thirty-five years of florals. Hundreds of weddings, workshops, and farewells. I've been in hospital rooms and at altars, around workshop tables and at gravesides — and what I know is this: flowers show up when words can't.‍ ‍

I'm an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) and a Certified Evaluating Judge. But what I'm most proud of is the way people feel when they leave one of my workshops or see their wedding florals for the first time.

Flowers are expression. They are resilience in bloom; and I’d love to create something beautiful with you.

Join The Florapist and botanical artist Ana Carolina for a creative experience that honors the stories, people, and moments that continue to shape us.

In this special Good Grief workshop, you'll create a garden-inspired floral design and a personalized cyanotype print using botanicals and meaningful photographs. Prior to class, participants will have the opportunity to email treasured images to Ana Carolina to incorporate into their artwork, creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake if you choose to use a picture. There will be botanical material provided if picture is not emailed.
